Deeper

I enjoy reading friend's blogs. In fact, it is one of my favorite lunchtime activities, while munching away, i browse through some of my fave blogs. I enjoy reading different one's experience and lessons they learnt as a fellow follower of Jesus. ii get inspired and encouraged at what God is doing in their lives. The holy spirit however spoke to me yesterday if i was satisfied being encouraged by a third party's experience. He asked if my hunger's being filled by the 3rd party insights.It struck me. I wasn't satisfied by the insights of others. I want the Holy spirit to breathe insights to me. I want God Himself to bring revelation and encouragements directly to me. I want my faith to grow through hearing the Word of God. I want to know the heart of God not through the experiences of others, but through knowing Him and walking with Him closely. All these were being confirmed by the Word shared during prayer yesterday. Joshua wasn't satisfied by the commissioning if Moses. He wasn't satisfied by the faith of Moses. In every opportunity He had, Joshua spent it seeking the face of God in His presence. In every victory, he can boldly say, that his source of strength and hope comes in God alone.

i can go so much deeper. His presence is sweet. His presence is comforting. I know i love it and indeed one day in the presence of God is better than a thousand days in the world! I long to see the treasures of His word unraveling. I yearn to be fed and filled by His presence in my life. I want to see the joy and hope abounding in my life because i know I have a God who lives in me. Press on Chia Yen! Desire it, Discipline yourself, Go for it.
