How many times have we heard or mumbled about giving grace to others. Give grace to this person, he/she is going through struggles. Give grace for he is younger, less mature and 'weaker'
We say we give grace to people who are more difficult, whose personality is different. As i was asking for God for His strength upon me, rambling about the hows and whys and the what to dos in giving grace. I rambled on in how to accept and give grace to shortcomings and weaknesses. i rambled on, holding to many self righteous thoughts. He quietly brought verses and verses of His promise of grace upon my life. I halted in my ramblings as I realise, who am i to give grace to others? Am i any better than any others? I don’t think Grace is the matter here because who am I to give grace? Grace has to be given by someone better and has more to offer. In all kinds relationships, it’s not about giving grace, but its about loving, understanding and empathising. After all, love is the greatest of all. It is about accepting just because Christ has accepted and loved us. He was gracious and His grace is upon us.
Rom 12:3-6
3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. 4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.
I was brought to the grounds of a sinner. I am merely a recipient of the ultimate grace from the ultimate giver of grace who can choose to love, understand and accept because of His grace . Its amazing.
Eph 2:8
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
