Recently, difficicult doctrinal topics have been brought to attention. Frankly speaking, i am no professor in these areas and times where i would love to hide behind the shadows of learned people in such topics and agree with Yes and amens as long as it's in line with the character of God and the values of the Church. However, its been days where God has been speaking that no longer should i be satisfied with palatable easy words, but to yearn to dig deeper. God spoke regards to this matter, with a somewhat different light that reminded me that in midst of digging and discovery, praises of Him ought to be on our lips. His name should be glorified and in understanding more of His word should cause us to break forth further into songs of praises and worship! He revealed His sovereignty and faithfulness, and He poured His presence unto us in prayer last night. For those who were there, who can deny that the reality of His visitation? I was humbled by the fact that i can never be able to fully fathom why He said certain things in the bible for whatever we can explain with Human understanding can only represent an ice berg of the entirety of His truth. The knowledge of God and His word, is not just to guide us in living the destiny He has laid for us, but to further affirm of who He is, His Holiness, Love, and Grace. That compels us to walk the walk and run the race.
As we prayed against the devil's scheme of Distraction, Disillusion, Deception, Doubts and Disbelief, i was reminded that all the more as we grow in knowledge and understanding of God's word, let the motivation come right. When we begin to pursue it with self interest and just merely wanting to prove the doctrines and theories, wanting to get it all "right", we could easily lose our point. Let Him be our compass and the reason for seeking.
