Phew ... this week has been a really packed week filled with meetings after meetings. like today, i had an almost back to back meeting and now preparing for the next one to start. Joined the mission team for the night yesterday and had fun listening to their stories and experiences. It's encouraging to see people stepping up in faith, especially in leading the team, taking courage to preach on the streets. i was then reminded of the need to keep my faith fresh, not just when i was a new believer, attempting things i have never done before in God. But to have the constant desire to venture new grounds with God by my side, cheering me on. No matter how "seasoned a Christian" i can be, but to remember the fundaments of keeping my faith fresh and renewed daily. Seminar over the weekend brought timely messages about true faith. I am glad that each time we choose to dwell in His presence, He strengthens us by His spirit. i look up to those "seasoned and mature Christians" who after many years remained wide eyed and excited for Jesus. And i ask of God to grant me the opportunity to see that my faith is continuously being stretched. so that i can be one who is wide eyed and excited for Jesus till the day i die.
Oh yes, another highlight was our district dinner on Monday night. though i would very much like to eat more, since it was an all you can eat buffet, i realised that my stomach has sadly shrunk and my metabolism has slowed down tremendously! nevertheless, we had a real fun time, having girly chats with my unit girls about wedding plannings etc :) ha, and i sang too!
oh, and i have also included the link to some of the photos that our dear friend has kindly took for Kel and i after we got engaged. thought that having some of these photos might come in handy in the midst of our wedding planning. i really love the pictures taken, especially some of the shots of us laughing. the moments that were captured spoke so much to me, really to remind me of the laughters and cheer we shared with each other. i was reminded too, to learn to laugh and support each other when we are faced with challenges or pressures in life. Thanking God always to provide me with someone who cheers me on all the time and to share my love with. i have to admit that i am no pro in this and have failed so many times in practicing this love, no matter how many times i have recited and reminded myself of 1 Corinthians 13. but truely, love centred in Christ, brings so much hope. Keep my eyes, fixed on Jesus!
